What We Strive to Bring to Local Communities
Canopy Protection Network is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to safeguarding communities from tree-related storm damage hazards through education, prevention, and direct assistance. Our mission is to enhance public safety by reducing tree-related disaster damages and empowering homeowners with the knowledge and resources they need to protect their properties.
We strive to:
- Promote community education by providing accessible information on tree maintenance, risk prevention, and disaster preparedness.
- Reduce disaster-related risks by proactively addressing hazardous trees in vulnerable neighborhoods.
- Engage communities through outreach efforts to foster long-term awareness and preparedness.
How We Are Doing It – Two Phases
Phase 1: Education & Community Engagement
- Website Education Hub – Offering guides, articles, and resources on proper tree care and storm preparedness.
- Social Media Strategy – Raising awareness through online campaigns and expert insights.
- Content and Outreach Plan – Sharing engaging content, hosting pop-ups at local events, and providing educational materials to the community.
Phase 2: Direct Assistance & Disaster Relief
Tree Pruning and Removal Assistance
- Collaborating with licensed and bonded arborists to ensure professional and safe tree maintenance.
- Prioritizing high-risk areas based on community needs and environmental factors.
Disaster Relief Support
- Covering removal costs for fallen trees when homeowners lack funds.
- Supporting community-wide cleanup efforts to restore affected areas efficiently.
Here’s how our Direct Assistance Plan helps deliver tree maintenance support to those in need, step by step.

Measuring the Success of Our Mission
Following the start of Phase 2, we planned to measure our impact through key metrics, including the reduction in disaster-related deaths (BD) and the decrease in tree-related property damage costs (BC) in the areas we service. The number of completed projects (PC) and their contributions to community safety were also key indicators of our success. Engagement metrics, such as website visits, social media reach, and event participation, reflect public involvement, while efficient fund allocation ensures resources are maximized.
